David Asscherick, Ancient Heathen Sex Cult Revival, Sun Worship: "What do you expect?" Sermon / Phallic Pillars: Baal Worship at the Obelisk

"We do not serve the living god of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob -- most of the time". (David Asscherick, What Do You Expect?, By Every Word, GYC 2006, Baltimore Convention Center, http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5826675556477081560#, minute 47)

CONFIRMED BY SCRIPTURE

"For according to the number of your cities are your gods". Jeremiah 2:28

VIOLATION OF GOD'S LAW

"You shall not make to you any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." (Exodus 20:4, AKJV) Likenesses like that sun image in the temple shown at left.

Down in front, there are a lot of Adventists who bow down before the likeness ("Shall we bow for prayer"), in direct violation of the commandment: "You shall not bow down to them". Exodus 20:5 NIV

They'll say its to worship the Creator, but "we are accustomed to people telling us one thing, and delivering another". (David Asscherick, What Do You Expect?, By Every Word, GYC 2006, Baltimore Convention Center, http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5826675556477081560#, minute 43)

SUN WORSHIP HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR QUITE A WHILE

"And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars--all the heavenly array--do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping". Deuteronomy 4:19 NIV

"the central point in all Phoenician mythology, was the worship of the Sun". "The chief Phoenician god was called Baal, and was worshiped in general throughout Syria." (Willis Boughton, History of ancient peoples, G.P Putnam, 1896, p 331) And, I might add, so many Christian churches in modern-day America.

"Originally Baal was the god of the sun, the ruler and vivifier of nature". (Edmond Ronayne, Master's Carpet Or Masonry and Baal-Worship Identical, 1879, p 245)

There is that sun image that they bow down before. The Bible has some strong words against this practice.

But say the worshipers haven't noticed the sun image. Might there be another clue at this temple that reveals which gods are being venerated?

COLOSSAL PHALLIC PILLARS ON TOP OF "CHRISTIAN" CHURCHES

Of course there is, since there were "established Egyptian ceremonies involving the veneration of an obelisk - an artifact that happened to be representative of a divine phallus." (Ralph Ellis, Solomon, Falcon of Sheba, Efu, 2002, p 132)

THEY HAD THEM IN ANCIENT EGYPT

There were lots of obelisks at "Heliopolis originally bore the Egyptian name Iunu, 'Pillar city', suggesting a phallic, and not a solar, symbolism." "the Benben Stone upon its pillar and its derivative form the obelisk had a phallic symbolism". (Alan F. Alford, Pyramid of Secrets, Eridu Books, 2003, p 7)

AND THE PRACTICE CONTINUES IN OUR DAY

"
An obelisk (from Greek ὀβελίσκος - obeliskos,[1] diminutive of ὀβελός - obelos, "spit, nail, pointed pillar") (المسلة Al-Masalla in Arabic) is a tall, narrow, four-sided, tapering monument which ends in a pyramidal top." (obelisk, Wikipedia)

One of these phallic pillars is mounted directly on top of this temple. Every time the kneelers bow down inside the church, they bow down before all those graven images.

ON BOTH ADVENTIST AND FALLEN CHURCHES

But there are so many other denominations that have these sex idols mounted on their roofs:

"IF EVERYONE ELSE DOES IT, IT MUST BE OK"

"The relevant question today is how something is perceived in its contemporary culture. If it has lost the suggestion of pagan affinity there is no sound reason to disqualify it with resurrected pagan associations." (George Reid, Steeples and the Church, Biblical Research Institute of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists)

And these men can really do whatever they want with Bible teachings? "In the end it is -- in good catholic fashion -- the church that controls the Scripture and not vice versa." (Ekkehardt Mueller, Benedict XVI and Jesus, Reflections - A BRI Newsletter, January 2008, p 6) Dr. Mueller is a director at the
Biblical Research Institute of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists
. http://www.theseventhday.tv/Experts/mueller.shtml He probably even calls himself an Adventist. "They say one thing, they deliver another". (David Asscherick, What Do You Expect?, By Every Word, GYC 2006, Baltimore Convention Center, http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5826675556477081560#, minute 43)

So what do you expect?
